During our visit to Wildseed Café & Bar, we opted for a selection of dishes to get a comprehensive understanding of their culinary offerings. We chose the Smashed Avocado with Bacon ($19), the Big Pan Breakfast ($29), and paired it with a refreshing Earl Grey Lavender tea ($8). Unfortunately, the food quality didn’t quite live up to the positive impressions created by the ambience and the pet-friendly atmosphere. The Big Pan Breakfast, in particular, proved to be a disappointment.

Both reviewers found the Big Pan Breakfast to be far too oily and overwhelmingly salty. The avocado lacked any discernible flavour, and the toast was disappointingly tough, hindering the overall enjoyment of the dish. The execution felt rushed and lacked finesse, failing to deliver on the promise of a hearty and satisfying breakfast experience. It received a consistent rating of 5/10 from both myself and Cliffy. The presentation, while acceptable, wasn’t enough to distract from the glaring flaws in flavour and texture.

The Smashed Avocado with Bacon fared even worse, receiving a dismal 2/10 from Alicia and a slightly more generous, but still low, 3/10 from Cliffy. We also added on a side of Smoked Salmon (+$8 for 2 slices) which sadly also lacked seasoning, contributing to a subpar experience with a rating of 5/10. Despite this, the idyllic surroundings and the café’s unique character make the trek worthwhile. The ambience received a solid 3.5/5 rating during our visit.
